The ideas for the shoot was all planned by Eugene and Theresa. Picking a theme to the engagement shoot that was near and dear to their hearts. They requested shots on the C-train where it all started, a school for when they met and autumn tree lined streets that is reminiscent of a place that Eugene lived near and they took countless drives through, TOGETHER. How SWEET are the two of them are together. Brian’s usually the joker with his antics on these shoots but I think Eugene took the cake on this one. It wasn’t hard to see the two of them seamlessly hanging out, laughing and loving in front of out cameras. These two are like old friends even though we’ve met a handful of times. Sharing ice-cream, decoration tips and our love for chinese dramas. Thank you, Theresa and Eugene for being so GRACIOUS and LOVING. You two are the cutest together. We can’t wait for your big day in 2012.

If you don’t know Cindy and Colin, you’ll soon find out that they have a strong love for each other as well as their mutual love for Glee and hockey, especially the Oilers. All three of these items were on display on their big day as Colin sang multiple Glee songs in the morning to win the hearts of the bride and persuade the bridesmaids during the traditional Chinese door games. We think Cindy knew he was a keeper when Colin can break into Glee show tunes with a simple request. And we know he loves her more as he unbashingly performed it in front of all of us.

At the reception, the décor was nicely decorated but to stay true to Colin’s second love for hockey (after his first love for Cindy of course) we were show cased with hockey themed events. The groomsmen grand entrance came in with hockey sticks and all scored on the empty net in the middle of the dance floor. Colin came streaking in with a sweet pass from his brother Brian, but he shot it wide, 3 to 4 feet wide…must have been the pressure. The hockey net was incorporated into a bride and groom kissing game. Missed shots required the participant to eat mysterious flavors of jelly belly jelly beans. But this didn’t stop the guest from lining up and participating. There were some pretty accurate shooters out there. There was even a Taylor Hall trivia, where the audience got to participate in winning a Taylor Hall jersey. Loved the creativity!!

Cindy and Colin, thank you for being such amazing client and we are very grateful that you have chosen us to capture your big day!! We can’t wait to see you guys again very soon!! Hope you had a great time on your honeymoon in Asia. We can’t wait to here about your journey!!

Colin almost messed up on his vows….its okay, it happens more often than not. We all had a good laugh.

When you know you’re with the one that makes your day a little brighter, that brings a smile to your face and will always stand beside you. It’s not a matter of whether you will get married but only a matter of when. Having family that span across provinces, decided on a locale for the wedding was a tough one. The decision finally came down Vancouver, BC. It would be a semi destination for most and who can complain about the lush backdrop of Vancouver scenery and the abundance of great food choices in Vancouver.

Dorothy planned most of the wedding on her own from their hometown Edmonton. For anyone who has planned a wedding knows, theirs bound to be hiccups and unforeseen issues along the way if not on the day of. A Swarovski earring incident or running 1 hour behind schedule could have been reason enough to have a Bridezilla moment, but the calmness they tackled each obstacles is admirable and commendable. We know what Dan meant in his thank you speech to Dorothy. She really is the strength and the foundation as he found his path through life. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do without her by his side and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her. We are in awe to be in the presence of your LOVE!!

We feel blessed to have had the privilege to be a part of your wedding. It was intimate, beautiful and amazing!!

We’ll see you guys soon…..have a GREAT time in Hawaii!!

It was happy tears all around as some guest came to see the Gorgeous bride before the ceremony!

All wedding guest blessed a rock for Dorothy and Dan. What a great idea for a keepsake to fill a vase in Dan and Dorothy new home together.

Dorothy’s mom and dad had to show the couple how to kiss, We thought they re-enacted it perfectly =)

Moving to a new city alone, he left his trusted fate to Google when searching for a new church in a new city;  What he didn’t know was he would also find his future wife , Eugenia, at this church.  I’m impressed at how powerful of a search engine Google has become.

Both Eugenia and Jeff flew all the way from GTA (Greater Toronto Area) to come to Calgary for their photo session here as they had fallen in love with the picturesque scenery the rocky mountains provided.

We are extremely happy to meet such a wonderful couple and the photos show how much love they have for each other.

Emotions ran higher at this wedding as happy tears are mixed with bittersweetness. The joining of two family is always a happy time, but for Thua parents, family and friends it also meant the imminent move for Thua to Ontario. The good news is that its only a mere 4 hour plane ride. =) We know UT will fulfill his duties to love and honor you. Thua, you will be dearly missed in Calgary, but we wish you two all the best as the two of your start your life together on the East coast.

The benefits of a destination wedding is the luxury of having another day in the picturesque location. It really is more laid back and give us an opportunity to create more awesome images for Daisy and Mike. Also, a PLUS is we get to pick a more comfortable hour to capture these images out of the scorching sun, actually double plus and I’m sure all the parties involved would agree, lol. Daisy + Mike, hope you enjoy Part 2. You two love birds are the SWEETEST together.
