Sorry for the lack of post lately. Life has gone into hyper drive since the end of June and shows no sign of slowing down. Here’s a couple of pics from our first wedding of the season just to start things off. A little teaser for Angelina and Rick. On a beautiful afternoon we found ourselves in Fish Creek park where Dicky knows every bike trail, he probably created a few himself. Starting off this shoot, Hilda and Dicky were very shy. But it didn’t take long for them to warm up and forget there were big cameras in their faces. These two were natural models and soon we found it tough getting them apart. There was definitely love in the air!!
From being apart in two seperate cities (Hilda in Edmonton and Dicky in Calgary) these last few years when Dicky moved down here for work, they are finally ready to make it official. Hilda is moving down to Calgary, but staying true to their roots, their wedding will be held in Edmonton. Don’t worry guys, there is still plenty of time to complete everything but we can’t wait for the two months left till you tie the knot!!

This engagement shoot happened on one of the last nice days in Calgary before the constant gloominess settled in. The puffy rain clouds threatened in the distanced to down pour on us. But we worked with what we got, and what we got was something great. Maybe it was the constant laughter during this entire session that made us forget about the impending storm. Because from what I remember it was always sunny and happy as we photographed these two.
Meet Carol and Danny. Danny romantically surprised Carol by proposing on the Kelowna docks at sunset last summer. We all know what the answer was… fast forward to today. Carol is a girl after my own heart. She’s the hands on type of bride and love the DIY challenge. I can’t wait to see what intricate and grand plans she has in store for the big day. Danny plays ball hockey with Brian. His nickname is “Tank”, correctly named after his tough exterior and natural ‘scowl’ (*inside joke). But it’s really all a front, as Danny is the most loveable and funny man you could meet. The sweetest part is that he is always able to make Carol laugh…and us too to boot. This session was non-stop laughter, laughing hard and loud. Laughter keeps you younger they say, so here’s to many many more years of laughter guys.

I don’t know why it’s always on this day of the week that the post seem to come out. Maybe because its Friday and we’re HAPPY on Friday!!….HAPPY that the weekend is here again!! Happy to post another teaser of another engagement shoot we’re busy editing.

So it’s been gloomy in Calgary this whole week. The sun finally decided to grace us with 2 beautiful days this weekend. So I hope everyone was able to take advantage of the awesome weather.
